Job Description:
About the Job:
Serves as primary system administrator and liaison to SolutionHealth IT staff for the electronic occurrence reporting system for Elliot Health System. Provides support to other key computer systems and applications within the Legal and Compliance Departments as requested.
What You’ll Do:
- As system Administrator, monitors software systems and data integrity and collaborates with vendors to resolve any issues to ensure system availability and functionality.
- Serves as primary liaison between vendors and SolutionHealth/EHS IT Dept. to complete report writing requests and assure systems functionality on the EHS intranet.
- Provides training to new and existing users of systems and applications in conjunction with the RN Risk Management Coordinator.
- Assists with staff access issues, questions and reporting requests.
- Responsible for building new functionalities in the system, under the guidance and direction of clinical departments.
- Assures the system is functioning correctly and available across EHS for staff to enter events. Troubleshoots any downtime or system failures with the vendor.
- Updates and maintains any databases that must be manually uploaded to keep user information current, i.e., staff, providers, medications, etc.
- Monitors the system to assist department staff in assuring that all events are resolved on time.
- Designs, supports and updates internal web pages as requested by the Director. Proficient with software programs to support this function.

Who You Are:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree or background in computer science preferred.
- Experience providing IT support, preferably in healthcare, required.
- Two (2) years' experience in healthcare risk or quality departments preferred
- Two (2) years’ IT programming or computer operations experience preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Understands system designs and process application flows required. Proficient with database programs, table management or other relevant applications required.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of supported systems preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools and applications.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills required
- Gives attention to detail and follows up on outstanding issues.
- Good communication and telephone skills
- Previous experience with healthcare electronic risk reporting applications preferred.
