Architect (Market Leader)

RDG is expanding our College & University market and we’re looking for a market leader with a focus on project management, client relationships and business development to join our team.

This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the college and university market, a passion for higher education design and the ability to manage teams and projects at a strategic level. In this role, you’ll spearhead marketing and business development efforts for RDG’s College & University market, forging strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. This dual focus on client engagement and market expansion offers a unique opportunity to influence both our projects and our practice at a fundamental level.

Essential Job Functions

• •Serve as the higher education market leader, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
• •Oversee project management efforts, ensuring quality, efficiency and strategic alignment with institutional goals
• •Lead business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and collaborating with RDG’s marketing team to pursue new work
• •Work closely with RDG’s College & University team to develop long-term market strategies
• •Mentor and support staff in professional development and project execution

Requirements

• •Possess strong leadership, written and verbal skills to instill confidence and trust in our clients and staff
• •Serve as a resource for our team, helping to grow RDG's brand and market share
• •Critical thinking collaborator with excellent soft skills, relationship and executing strengths
• •Sound design communication and presentation skills
• •Demonstrated history of building long-term relationships with team members and clients

Education & Experience

• •15+ years of architectural experience, including leadership in higher education design
• •Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully
• •Established relationships with colleges and universities
• •Entrepreneurial mindset—someone eager to grow RDG’s presence and impact in the market
• •Licensed architect (or ability to obtain licensure)
