Reports to: Director of Business Development.

Location: Charlotte, NC

About the role

  • Vital Records Control is a rapidly growing national company, and our momentum starts with our sales team. We’re adding driven inside sales professionals who own a territory, manage an active pipeline, and close business. You’ll combine disciplined daily execution with a team-first mindset to consistently hit and exceed targets.
  • This is a quota-carrying role for professionals who show up every day, compete hard, and win the right way.

What you’ll do

  • Prospect, qualify, and close: build and manage a healthy pipeline of new and existing accounts; run discovery, deliver proposals, negotiate, and close to weekly, monthly, and annual quotas.
  • Own your territory plan: analyze funnel metrics, prioritize high-probability opportunities, and adjust tactics based on prospect and client feedback.
  • Deliver consistent activity: manage inbound leads, perform scheduled outbound outreach, set appointments, and follow up on time—every time.
  • Be the product expert: master our shred-services portfolio to create compelling solutions, handle objections, and position clear value.
  • Partner to win: collaborate with outside sales, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth implementations and exceptional client experience.
  • Use the CRM rigorously: document activity, forecast accurately, and maintain up-to-date opportunity records.
  • Protect relationships: address escalations professionally and resolve issues quickly with leadership support.

What success looks like

  • You meet or exceed activity and revenue quotas consistently.
  • Your pipeline coverage and forecast accuracy are reliable.
  • You contribute positively to team culture and help others succeed.
  • Clients cite you for responsiveness, clarity, and follow-through.

Requirements

What you bring

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, consultative selling, objection handling, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and time management; disciplined use of CRM and sales tools.
  • High personal integrity and professionalism; team-first attitude.
  • Competitive drive with coachability and resilience—former team athletes often excel in this role.

Reliability and work standards

  • Full-time, on-site/office-based role with consistent 40-hour work weeks.
  • Reliable daily attendance and punctuality required to serve customers and support team coverage.
  • Maintains focus, productivity, and responsiveness throughout the workday.

Tools you’ll use
