General Summary

The Assistant Manager manages overall store operations and the achievement of company goals and directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service

• •Provide positive representation of Ace Retail Group
• •Proactively assist customers in solving problems
• •Greet customers entering and throughout the store; thank them when leaving
• •Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates
• •Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly and courteously
• •Resolve customer issues with Ace Retail Group’s best interest in mind
• •Maintain strong product and store layout knowledge

Store Operations

• •Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment
• •Supervise general operations of the store
• •Open and close the store as needed
• •Assist with Store Support Center program implementation
• •Ensure Loss Prevention, Safety, and Audit success
• •Partner with the General Manager on store operations
• •Participate in weekly management meetings
• •Communicate issues to Store Support Center with GM approval
• •Assist with district projects from the District Manager
• •Implement Standard Operating Procedures
• •Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas
• •Ensure price changes and labels are accurate and timely
• •Oversee associate training, audits, and reporting
• •Manage preventative maintenance and repairs
• •Monitor competitor activity
• •Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications

• •High School diploma or GED equivalent
• •Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
• •Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• •Ability to compute ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs
• •Ability to work independently
• •Flexible work schedule
• •Strong verbal and written communication skills
• •Ability to foster teamwork and motivate others
• •Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance

Compensation Details

$19.10 - $21.10 per hour
