What You'll Be Doing

• •Operate small equipment and hand tools on a variety of job sites consisting of milling, paving, grading.
• •Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working order
• •Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in asphalt paving, typical site work, grading, etc
• •Properly follow all Company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
• •Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on small equipment and hand tools if within abilities; escalates issues that are not repairable or safe.
• •Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanup
• •Fuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork
• •Performs other related activities as assigned

What Are We Looking For

• •High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience
• •Valid/Clean Driver’s License
• •Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• •Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts
• •Ability to operate and maintain small paving equipment (tamper, roller, skid steer experience preferred)
• •Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, milling, paving, grading
• •Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
