Build Innovative Food Processing Equipment with JBT Marel

JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble industry-leading food processing equipment using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. What You'll Do

• •Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on food processing equipment.
• •Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials.
• •Perform equipment testing and troubleshooting to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
• •Use hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• •Operate overhead cranes, forklifts (training provided), and other shop equipment as needed.
• •Complete work within established labor standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• •Inspect your work for quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• •Collaborate with engineering, production, and fellow team members to meet production goals.

What We're Looking For

• •High school diploma or GED preferred.
• •Previous manufacturing and/or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• •Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• •Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• •Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• •Basic computer skills with the ability to view drawings and work instructions.
• •Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• •Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• •Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
• •Experience with industrial controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo motors, cameras, or laser scanners is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• •Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• •Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• •Push and move carts and materials.
• •Work from ladders or elevated platforms when needed.
• •Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, varying temperatures, and industrial noise.
