Job Title: Final Assembly

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Performs Final Assembly operations on instruments.
• •Wiping and Inspecting instruments following Plating operations and in preparation to ship.
• •Complies with all Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.
• •Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• •Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• •Installs accessory parts to finished assembled instruments, adjusts all to provide good function.
• •Grinds or hones valves and pistons to proper clearance. May be by hand or machine
• •Laps some piston guide keys.
• •Washes instruments and parts free of lapping compound.
• •Must check machining on piston parts and casings and action of valves and slides.
• •Inspects horns for dents and defects.
• •Sort parts and may be required to measure pistons.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Ability to use a variety of measuring tools (Thickness Gauge, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
• •Manufacturing Process aptitude.
• •Good written and verbal communication skills.
• •Ability to work autonomously.
• •Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
• •Regular attendance.
• •Ability to perform repetitive work.
• •Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.
• •Ability to safely lift 40lbs. unassisted.
• •Ability to feel and detect subtle material defects.
• •Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration.
