Assembly Equipment Operator

The primary functions of a Mezz Stocker/Picker is to put-away built/unbuilt assembly product to the proper location, to pick product to be assembled and to Pick chairs to be shipped.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• •Count received product to verify inventory accuracy
• •Identify space needs and make appropriate adjustments
• •Relocate staged material to proper locations
• •Double stack pallets of product to save space using a pallet stacker
• •Use scanning gun to make inventory movement entries
• •Pick product to be assembled
• •Document picked product for assembly stats by builder
• •Audit locations for inventory accuracy
• •Maintain proper appearance of assembly room
• •Pallets: sorted and stacked neatly and safely
• •Inspect and maintain electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers

• •Observe all the safety requirements of Bob’s Discount Furniture.
• •Report hazardous situations immediately to Assembly Manager if unable to correct yourself.
• •Pick product for Cross Dock deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• •Solid knowledge and competence on RP scanner gun
• •Excellent physical condition
• •Ability to move and lift heavy objects
• •Good verbal and listening skills
• •Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

Reporting Relationships

Report to: Assembly Manager

Desired Qualifications

• •High School diploma
• •Warehouse experience
