Assistant/Associate Professor, Medical Education

Summary

Barry University’s College of Health Promotions and Medical Sciences (CHPMS) is seeking a dynamic and innovative full-time (12-month) faculty member to join our interdisciplinary group of healthcare experts. This position will be dedicated to our graduate-level Physician Assistant program (Master of Clinical Medical Sciences).

Essential Functions

• •Teach graduate-level courses in the physician assistant program.
• •Provide student mentorship and advising, including master’s theses/projects.
• •Engage in Program, College, and University service.
• •Engage in scholarship.

Qualifications/Requirements

• •Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program or accredited allopathic/osteopathic medical program.
• •Current, unrestricted Florida licensure as a PA, medical or osteopathic physician, or eligibility.
• •Current NCCPA or physician board certification or eligibility.
• •Master’s degree required. An earned doctorate in a health-related field or in education preferred.
• •A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• •Prior faculty experience is preferred.
