Assistant for the water laboratory at TEAC w/m/d

We are looking for a temporary assistant to take care of our water laboratory at the School of Technology, Engineering and Architecture at our Heidelberg campus. The position is a fixed-term position ending March 31st, 2027.

Ihre Aufgabe

• Equipment care: clean glassware and report defects or maintenance needs
• Lab organization/safety: keep the lab tidy, monitor inventory and safety equipment
• Project support: assist with experiments, lab sessions and STEM (MINT) activities
• Sampling and sample preparation: collect and store samples and prepare reagents and dilutions following lab protocols
• Data documentation: enter measurement data into spreadsheets or the lab database and help with simple evaluations and charts
• Additional duties and operational support: when required

Ihr Profil

• Ideally you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at TEAC
• Very basic familiarity with laboratory safety protocols
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently after initial training
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work in a team
• Basic skills in data entry and documentation using MS Excel or basic statistical tools are an advantage
• Availability to work 43 hours per month and at times on weekends
