Love people, thrive on teamwork, and want to make a difference?

South Metro Animal Emergency Care is a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital looking for a compassionate, collaborative, and motivated Assistant Hospital Administrator to join our leadership team!

We move fast, support each other, and show up for pets and their people when they need us most. We’re looking for someone who loves building strong teams, solving problems, and creating a positive workplace where people can learn, grow, and have fun along the way.

Working alongside our Hospital Administrator, Medical Director, and Area Manager, you’ll help keep hospital operations running smoothly, support our incredible team, and create an environment where veterinary professionals can focus on what they do best: providing exceptional patient care.

Veterinary clinic experience is a plus, and emergency medicine experience is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Compensation will be based on experience.

What You’ll Do

Build a great team culture: Bring our values to life through respect, communication, learning, collaboration, and fun.

Support and develop people: Help recruit, onboard, coach, mentor, and recognize team members while fostering a positive and engaged workplace.

Keep things running smoothly: Partner with hospital leadership on daily operations, financial performance, business development, facilities, and human resources.

Make a difference for clients: Help create a seamless, compassionate experience for clients and their pets, even in stressful emergency situations.

Strengthen community connections: Build relationships with local veterinary practices and community partners while supporting hospital marketing initiatives.

Champion compliance and improvement: Help maintain regulatory compliance, promote workplace safety, and identify opportunities to improve hospital processes.

What We’re Looking For

An associate degree, bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Two or more years of experience in operations, financial or facilities management, human resources, or a related area.

Ideally, one year of hospital management experience in veterinary medicine or human healthcare.

Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and people leadership skills.

The ability to adapt, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ADP Workforce One, and veterinary practice management systems is beneficial.

Most importantly, you believe great patient care starts with a supported, connected, and empowered team!
