Position Overview:
Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising will drive and support topline sales and traffic through teaching and reinforcing Visual Merchandising standards for APAC Commercial team including but not limited to Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mainland China, South Korea and Australia. They will be responsible for training and developing store level Visual Merchandisers, implementing Marketing initiatives such as seasonal window displays in addition to supporting in store education leads in product knowledge and training. This person will be responsible for establishing strong partnerships with Wholesales clients, Retail teams in APAC, business planning, marketing and the global CG offices, they will continually work cross-functionally with internal teams to relay feedback and partner on key initiatives.
The Manager, Visual Merchandising is responsible for driving visual merchandising excellence across APAC commercial channels, delivering a premium and consistent Canada Goose brand experience that supports customer engagement, product productivity, commercial performance, and business growth.
Partnering closely with Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, Merchandising & Planning, global teams, and strategic service providers, this role executes visual merchandising strategies, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and key business initiatives across the region.
Through strong cross-functional collaboration, field leadership, and data-driven decision making, the role ensures excellence in execution, shares market insights and best practices, and strengthens Canada Goose's brand presence and commercial results across APAC.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the execution of visual merchandising initiatives across APAC commercial channels, including DTC stores, department stores, shop-in-shops, franchise locations, distributor partners, and wholesale accounts, ensuring a consistent and elevated Canada Goose brand experience.
- Adapt and implement global visual merchandising directives to meet regional business needs, customer insights, and market opportunities while maintaining brand integrity.
- Partner closely with Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, Merchandising, and Planning teams to deliver seasonal priorities, commercial initiatives, and market activations across APAC.
- Drive visual merchandising excellence through regular store visits, execution audits, and business reviews, providing actionable recommendations to enhance brand presentation, customer experience, and commercial performance.
- Lead the development of visual merchandising capabilities across APAC through training, coaching, and ongoing field support for store teams, visual merchandising representatives, and partner staff.
- Manage the execution of seasonal product launches, capsule collections, collaborations, showroom presentations, market weeks, and key brand activations, ensuring impactful storytelling and consistent execution across all channels.
- Analyze sales, inventory, productivity, and sell-through trends to identify opportunities and implement merchandising solutions that support commercial objectives.
- Ensure visual presentations, signage, fixtures, display materials, and marketing collateral are executed in line with global brand standards and local market requirements.
- Oversee the management and deployment of visual merchandising assets across APAC, ensuring efficient allocation, utilization, and operational excellence.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry best practices to identify opportunities that strengthen Canada Goose's brand presence, customer experience, and business performance.
- Serve as a key visual merchandising partner across APAC markets, fostering strong collaboration between regional teams, market stakeholders, and global functions.
- Lead visual merchandising execution for new store openings, relocations, renovations, major campaigns, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Travel across APAC markets to support training, store visits, project execution, and business priorities, maintaining flexibility to meet evolving business needs.
Let’s talk about you:
- University degree or college diploma in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of visual merchandising experience within luxury apparel industry
- Demonstrated experience supporting wholesale, shop-in-shop, department store, franchise, or distributor environments.
- Experience managing multiple markets and stakeholders across APAC preferred.
- Experience supporting seasonal product launches, special events, and commercial activations.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Luxury fashion or premium retail industry experience strongly preferred.
- Flexible, diplomatic facilitator with excellent communication, relationship-building, and follow-through capabilities.
- Strong visual storytelling and display execution skills with a commercial mindset.
- Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English is a must.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of wholesale business models, department store operations, and shop-in-shop environments.
- Commercially driven with the ability to connect visual merchandising strategies to sales performance and sell-through results.
- Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, retail operations, and business processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence internal teams and external wholesale partners.
- Strong analytical ability with experience utilizing sales and inventory data to inform visual merchandising decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple markets, priorities, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong execution discipline.
- Excellent presentation, training, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a rapidly evolving business environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
