Lutheran Hospital is looking to add an Assistant Nurse Manager to their Ambulatory Operations team. The Assistant Nurse Manager in this role will monitor daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics. The locations this ANM may support include Lutheran, West Valley Medical Office and CCF Weston. You will oversee RNs, LPNs, MAs and other patient care providers to ensure quality of care and resolve patient care and personnel issues.

A caregiver in this position works 7:30am to 5:00pm. Some start times may occur as early as 6:30am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.

Coordinate activities to ensure quality and safe patient care.

Anticipate and resolve patient care and personnel issues.

In conjunction with the clinical manager, ensure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education.

Perform duties of the RN Ambulatory as needed.

Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.

Participate and/or coordinate committees, task forces, and continuous improvement activities.

Participate in department leadership meetings.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.

Assume responsibilities of the clinical manager as needed.

Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new caregivers, annual performance reviews and performance improvement.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Two years of recent RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Supervisory experience

Physical Requirements:

• •Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• •Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• •May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• •Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
