Assistant Professor, Theory – Department of Economics
The Department of Economics at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Economic Theory. The appointment is expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position start date is August 1, 2027.

- Job Duties:
- Teaching, research, and service to the institution. All McGill faculty members are expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Candidates should have completed their PhD or be near completion. An applicant’s record of performance must provide evidence of outstanding research potential and the ability/potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as evidence (or intentions) of undergraduate and graduate supervision and of mentoring students with diverse lived experiences.
