We are seeking an Assistant Waiter to support the delivery of an exceptional guest experience through attentive service, accurate order handling and smooth coordination with the restaurant team. The role will assist with table set-up, food and beverage service, menu knowledge and upselling while maintaining Son Of A Fish ’s high standards of presentation, hygiene and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Dining Experience

• •Greet and welcome guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• •Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations on food and beverage pairings.
• •Take and serve orders accurately while ensuring timely delivery.
• •Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized attention to enhance satisfaction.

Operational Duties

• •Set up, maintain, and clear tables according to high-end standards.
• •Assist in daily opening and closing duties of the restaurant.
• •Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• •Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary.

Knowledge & Upselling

• •Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and wine/beverage offerings.
• •Upsell specials, premium items, and wine pairings to maximize revenue.
• •Stay updated on restaurant promotions, events, and service standards.

Hygiene & Safety

• •Ensure all dining areas are clean, organized, and meet health and safety standards.
• •Follow hygiene practices and service protocols strictly.

Qualifications & Experience

• •Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in high-end restaurants, fine-dining, or luxury hotels.
• •Knowledge of fine-dining etiquette, service standards, and wine/beverage pairings.
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
