We are seeking an Associate Content Analyst to lead our dynamic team in Penang, Malaysia, embarking on the crucial mission of enhancing the quality and accuracy of Chinese Researcher Profiles. This role is designed for an individual with a strong background in life sciences, extensive experience in academic publishing, and a deep understanding of bibliometrics. Reporting directly to the Team Manager, Scholarly People, the Associate Content Analyst will play a pivotal role in content curation, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our project's success. About You:

• •Education: A bachelor or master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field is essential, reflecting a deep understanding of the subject matter.
• •Experience: 1-2 years of experience in academic publishing or bibliometrics, with a proven track record of leading projects and teams. Prior experience in managing content quality and integrity is crucial.

Skills:

• •Advanced proficiency in the Chinese language for complex editorial tasks is required.
• •Expert knowledge of academic bibliographies, the publication process, and research methodologies in Life Sciences.
• •Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of leading efforts to identify and rectify inaccuracies in academic content.

What will you be doing in this role?

• •Researcher Profile Review & Validation: Review Chinese Researcher Profiles to ensure accurate attribution of publications, affiliations, and author information, maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.
• •Bibliographic Analysis & Correction: Identify and resolve bibliographic discrepancies, including incorrect authorship claims, publication metadata, and affiliation information, following established guidelines and workflows.
• •Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with content operations teams and quality specialists to align on curation practices, share knowledge, and maintain consistent quality standards across researcher profiles.
• •Stakeholder Support: Assist in clarifying profile information and addressing data quality issues through collaboration with internal stakeholders and established support channels.
• •Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance: Stay current with developments in academic publishing and bibliometrics, applying best practices to improve profile accuracy, workflow efficiency, and overall data quality.

About the Team

Joining our team as a Content Analyst place you at the heart of our ambitious project focused on enhancing the integrity and accuracy of Chinese Researcher Profiles within the Web of Science platform. Our team, an extension of the Content Operations division based in Penang, collaborates closely with over 60 dedicated professionals in India, contributing to a global effort to maintain the highest standards of academic data quality. Internally, we work alongside content editors, specialists, Team manager and Senior Manager while externally, our stakeholders include researchers, academic institutions, and publishing entities. With a project of significant scale, our team size is optimized for agility and effectiveness, allowing for a hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation. While leveraging a comprehensive suite of tools and technologies tailored to bibliographic and data management, we also enjoy the support of local benefits and a work culture that emphasizes learning, collaboration, and excellence. Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
