Led by seasoned healthcare executives, operators, and clinicians, IHS partners with organizations to drive sustainable performance improvement and long-term growth through strategic growth design, operating model transformation, technology, AI, and digital enablement, clinical quality and patient care optimization, and revenue strategy—helping clients build resilient, future-ready healthcare enterprises in an increasingly complex environment.

Technology, AI, & Digital Solutions

BRG Technology, AI, & Digital Solutions delivers analytics and technology solutions that improve decisions, automate manual processes, and scale performance across the enterprise. BRG supports financial, operational, and clinical use cases through advanced analytics, automation, dashboards, and responsible AI. We also assess AI readiness and help build the data, governance, and operating foundations needed to develop and scale high‑impact AI use cases.

Position Summary:

The Associate Director will lead client engagements from assessment and strategy through solution design, implementation, adoption, and benefit realization, applying deep expertise in a primary technology or transformation discipline and sound healthcare business judgment. Working with healthcare executives, operational leaders, clinicians, IT teams, and subject matter experts, the Associate Director will identify high-value opportunities, develop actionable business cases and roadmaps, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across IHS and BRG to guide scalable solutions. Engagements may span AI and automation, digital solution performance, and IT efficiency and transformation. This position offers advancement opportunities within a growing expert services and consulting firm.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, depending on project requirements and client expectations, is required.

Responsibilities:

Lead engagements or major workstreams, serving as a key client contact and managing scope, workplans, budgets, staffing, risks, dependencies, and deliverable quality.

Translate complex financial, operational, clinical, and technology challenges into clear recommendations, executable plans, and executive-level communications.

Coordinate IHS operational and clinical specialists, Analytics professionals, BRG AI specialists, client teams, and vendors to deliver integrated solutions with clearly defined responsibilities.

Manage multiple engagements while maintaining delivery standards, client relationships, and engagement financial performance.

Lead healthcare-focused AI and automation readiness assessments, evaluating workflows, data quality and accessibility, technology architecture, talent, governance, and organizational capacity for change.

Develop prioritized use-case portfolios, business cases, and implementation roadmaps based on value, feasibility, risk, strategic alignment, and readiness.

Design and help establish AI and Automation Centers of Excellence, including intake, prioritization, decision rights, delivery standards, resource planning, and performance monitoring.

Serve as a technical and strategic lead for solutions combining native enterprise-platform capabilities, robotic process automation, low-code/no-code tools, generative AI, and agentic workflows, selecting the approach best suited to the business problem.

Guide architecture, integration, development, testing, deployment, and support planning to create secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Establish appropriate quality controls, documentation, human oversight, exception handling, and monitoring in collaboration with AI, privacy, security, compliance, and clinical specialists.

Move successful pilots into reusable enterprise capabilities through standardized components, operating procedures, training, ownership, and ongoing maintenance.

Partner with IHS service lines to identify and implement technology-enabled improvements across revenue cycle and managed care, supply chain, workforce and shared services, patient access and ambulatory operations, and clinical and quality transformation.

Work with domain experts to map current workflows, address process and data deficiencies, and design future-state operations before introducing or expanding automation.

Align technology initiatives with enterprise strategy, operating-model changes, margin improvement, clinical priorities, and patient and workforce experience.

Collaborate with the Analytics team on data requirements, performance measurement, dashboards, and decision-support needs, drawing on specialist capabilities as appropriate.

Ensure clinical applications are developed and implemented with appropriate clinical leadership, validation, and oversight.

Evaluate digital solutions for business and workflow fit, functionality, usability, interoperability, utilization, supportability, risk, and total lifecycle cost.

Develop recommendations to optimize, extend, consolidate, replace, or retire solutions, distinguishing adoption and configuration gaps from structural technology limitations.

Build scenario-based investment cases and capability-led platform roadmaps that account for integration, migration, training, operating costs, dependencies, and transition risks.

Support IT efficiency initiatives involving workforce capacity, application rationalization, infrastructure, vendor and license spend, and service-delivery models, coordinating relevant specialists while protecting service quality and continuity.

Lead adoption and change-management activities that improve effective technology use, user proficiency, and workflow performance—not just deployment or training completion.

Establish performance baselines, accountable benefit owners, and measurement plans; validate results with operational leaders and Finance, distinguishing realized savings, revenue improvement, cost avoidance, and redeployable capacity.

Lead and mentor consultants, business analysts, and technical professionals through balanced delegation, coaching, technical review, and career development.

Contribute to recruiting, training, resource coordination, and reusable methodologies, tools, and delivery standards.

Support business development through opportunity identification, engagement expansion, proposals, scope development, effort estimates, client presentations, and thought leadership.

Evaluate technology vendors, emerging companies, and potential partners; help structure and manage pilots aligned with client needs, architecture, and investment priorities.
