As an Associate Expert Drug Supply, you will play a critical role in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients and solid dosage forms that support cutting-edge clinical trials. Joining our TRD PHAD Oral Supply team, you will work in a highly collaborative and quality-focused environment where your expertise directly contributes to the development of new treatments and helps transform patients’ lives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture solid dosage forms in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
  • Sieving and milling of active pharmaceutical ingredients
  • Perform in-process (IPC) and process flow controls (PAK), ensuring accurate documentation within manufacturing execution systems.
  • Execute encapsulation, tableting, granulation, and precise drug processing (PDP) activities according to approved procedures.
  • Operate, set up, clean, and disinfect manufacturing equipment and production areas.
  • Support equipment maintenance, calibration, qualification, and commissioning activities.
  • Contribute to audit readiness, continuous improvement initiatives, and key performance indicator achievement.
  • Collaboration in the creation / revision of procedural documents (SOP, WP, FRM).
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, data integrity, and information security requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in a technical, pharmaceutical, chemical, food production, or related field.
  • Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working within a Good Manufacturing Practice regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment and following documented procedures.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including active ingredients or solid dosage forms.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within pharmaceutical or chemical development manufacturing environments.
  • Forklift license or certification.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 65,870.00 - 94,100.00 - 122,330.00 CHF Annual

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.

Die Stelle unterstützt die Herstellung von Wirkstoffen und festen Darreichungsformen für klinische Studien in Novartis TRD PHAD ORAL Supply Team. Speziell beziehen sich die Tätigkeiten auf die GMP-gerechte Produktion von Wirkstoffen und fester Darreichungsformen, Bedienung der Herstellanlagen, Unterstützung bei Wartung & Qualifizierung, sowie Reinigung und Dokumentation der durchgeführten Aktivitäten

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten:

  • GMP-gerechte Herstellung von fester Darreichungsformen, inklusive Precise Drug Processing (PDP), Kapsulierung, Tablettierung und/oder Granulierung sowie Durchführung der In-Prozesskontrollen (IPC) oder Prozessablaufkontrollen (PAK) und Eingabe in das MES-System
  • Mischen, Sieben und Mahlen von Wirkstoffen
  • Bedienung inkl. Setup, Reinigung und Desinfektion der Herstellanlagen und Räume
  • Unterstützung bei der Durchführung von Wartung & Kalibrierung der Herstellanlagen und Mitarbeit bei zugewiesenen Investitionsprojekten (z.B. im Rahmen der Qualifizierung und Inbetriebnahme)
  • Delegierter Musterzug
  • Verantwortlich für Ordnung und Sauberkeit in den zugewiesenen Aufgabengebieten und Räumen
  • Verantwortlich für die Sicherstellung der Anlagenverfügbarkeit der zugewiesenen Anlagen
  • Eigenverantwortung für die fortlaufende Weiterbildung/Entwicklung
  • Mitarbeit bei der Umsetzung und Einhaltung von 5S und IQP/Continuous Improvement (CI) Massnahmen
  • Mitarbeit bei der Vorbereitung von internen und externen Audits & aktive Teilnahme bei der Durchführung der Audits
  • Mitarbeit zur Erfüllung der Supply Team spezifischen Prozesskennzahlen (KPI)
  • Mitarbeit bei der Erstellung / Überarbeitung von prozeduralen Dokumenten (SOP, WP, FRM)
  • Einhaltung der cGMP, HSE, Data Integrity und ISEC (Information Security) Richtlinien

Berufsausbildung :

  • Minimum: Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung
  • Erwünscht: Berufsausbildung als Chemie- und Pharmatechnologe, Lebensmittelbereich oder Hygienebetrieb oder eine technische Berufsausbildung mit Erfahrung im GMP regulierten Umfeld (z.B. Mechaniker, Mechatroniker etc.)

Sprachkenntnisse:

  • Minimum: Fließende Deutschkenntnisse (mündlich und schriftlich)
  • Erwünscht: Gute Englischkenntnisse (mündlich und schriftlich)

Berufliche Erfahrung:

  • >5 Jahre Erfahrung im GMP regulierten Umfeld, sofern keine Fachausbildung als Chemie- oder Pharmatechnologe vorliegt.
  • Erfahrung im Entwicklungsbetrieb einer chemischen oder pharmazeutischen Herstellung wünschenswert.
  • Erfahrung in der Herstellung von Wirkstoffen (Sieb-, Misch- und Mahlaktivitäten) oder festen Darreichungsformen (Mischen, Granulieren, Sieben, Mahlen, Kompaktieren, Extrudieren, Tablettieren, Kapsulierung, Sorting, Coating)
  • Staplerführerschein wünschenswert
