What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For

This is a Temporary position funded until 6/30/2033.

Under the direction of management in the Office of Planning and Construction, the Associate Space Planning Manager is responsible for managing the college’s space inventory and utilization data, and informing the assignment of space for the college. This position is considered a technical resource that can make recommendations to better maximize space utilization. It is intended to inform college initiatives related to space and ensure that existing physical facilities are used effectively and efficiently. This is a highly collaborative position requiring coordination and alignment with a number of college programs including Academic and Student Affairs, Facility Management Services, Scheduling and others. It will engage and facilitate discussion with staff at all levels of the college and be guided by the overarching principles of teamwork, accountability, and stewardship of public resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Planning, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field.

Four years of demonstrated experience in space management in a campus setting Proficiency in a variety of computer-aided design software and space planning too ls.

Success Criteria - (throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on your demonstration of the following criteria):

- Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills with experience in gathering, assessing and interpreting data and offering clear recommendations

- Confident visual, written, and oral communication skills including experience with group facilitation and the ability to present complex material in a useful and understandable fashion to diverse audiences.

- Demonstrated history of taking initiative and proactively coordinating and prioritizing tasks to ensure resources are employed appropriately.

- Proficiency with space management software as well as Revit and AutoCad.

- Familiarity with the unique characteristics of a campus setting and managing and/or coordinating multiple projects in a number of different locations

- Familiarity with design and Construction management principles and facility planning principles

- The ability to bring order and direction to complex or ambiguous challenges and accurately deliver complex materials in a timely manner

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement

Minimum $85,646 to range midpoint of $104,917. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
