Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an Auto Electrician / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Mt Wellington team and help keep our fleet, plant and equipment safe, reliable and ready to go. Our workshop and maintenance team plays a key role in supporting Fulton Hogan’s construction and infrastructure work by servicing and repairing the heavy vehicles, civil machinery and mobile plant our crews rely on every day.

You’ll be hands on with heavy diesel trucks, trailers, civil machinery and mobile plant, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs that keep the work moving. This is a role for someone who knows their way around modern vehicle electrical systems, enjoys solving problems and takes real pride in a job done properly.

At Fulton Hogan, good work is about more than getting through the list. It’s about backing your team, keeping safety front of mind and finding better ways to get the job done.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults across fleet and civil equipment.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with confidence using scan tools, multimeters, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • A Class 2 drivers licence and the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of a hands-on workshop role.
  • A safety-first mindset, team-focused attitude and the kind of low-ego approach that makes you a good sort to work with.
