About the Opportunity
The Automation Developer is HammondCare's technical specialist for automation, AI and workflow solutions. The role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting automation and AI-enabled capabilities that simplify business processes, reduce manual effort and increase workforce capacity across the organisation.
Working closely with the Automation Delivery Lead, Machine Learning Engineers, Full Stack Developers, business stakeholders and technology teams, the role translates business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and integration technologies.
As a senior individual contributor, the Automation Developer provides technical leadership across automation and AI initiatives, owning solutions through the
full lifecycle from design and development to deployment, optimisation and ongoing support.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities.
Key Focus Areas:
Automation AI Solution Development: Design and deliver automation, workflow and AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, service quality and operational efficiency
Platform & Technical Delivery: Lead the development of enterprise automation capabilities using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dataverse and Azure services
Support integration & Optimisation: Integrate systems, data and business processes to create scalable, supportable and high-value automation outcomes
AI & Innovation Enablement: Implement intelligent automation capabilities that support HammondCare's digital, data and AI strategy
How you’ll make an impact
Design, develop and deploy automation, workflow and AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual effort, improve productivity and create workforce capacity
Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and related technologies
Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems, applications and data platforms using APIs, connectors and modern integration patterns
Translate business requirements, process maps and solution designs into scalable and supportable technical solutions
Implement intelligent automation capabilities including AI-powered workflows, copilots, agents, document processing and decision automation solutions
Establish and apply development standards, reusable components and technical patterns that support sustainable growth of HammondCare's automation capability.
Lead testing, deployment, release management and operational readiness activities for automation and AI solutions
Monitor, support and continuously optimise production solutions to maximise reliability, performance, adoption and business value
Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise across automation, Power Platform and AI initiatives
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to expand HammondCare's automation and AI capability
About you
Commitment to engage with and align to HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio and Power Platform governance, with the ability to independently deliver complex enterprise solutions
At least 5 year’s proven experience developing integrations using APIs, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, connectors and modern integration patterns
Strong experience implementing AI-enabled solutions, including Copilots, AI Agents, intelligent document processing, decision automation, generative AI and workflow orchestration
Deep understanding of business process optimisation, workflow design and automation architecture, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions
Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives from solution design through development, testing, deployment, support and continuous improvement
Desirable
Experience within healthcare, aged care or other regulated environments
Understanding of cyber security, identity, privacy and technology governance requirements
