Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Respond to automation line failures, equipment alarms, and production downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, controls, and automation-related issues.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures using systematic troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform preventive and general maintenance on automated production equipment.
- Monitor recurring equipment failures and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
- Collect, document, and report equipment failure and downtime data.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records, troubleshooting logs, and asset records.
- Escalate complex equipment issues to Process Engineering, Controls Engineering, IT, or equipment vendors.
- Support Process Engineering with automation projects, equipment improvements, and special projects.
- Receive and respond to JIRA tickets related to automation, equipment, and manufacturing support.
- Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to identify tools and equipment needed to support production.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Identify and order replacement parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide equipment operation and basic troubleshooting training to production personnel.
- Support equipment testing and validation following repairs, modifications, or upgrades.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to maintain automation line uptime and production efficiency.
Education and Work Experience
- College/bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- One year or more of experience working in a similar work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
- Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including occasional lifting to 50lbs.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems
- Effective in time management and delegation.
- Experience with Automation (Preferred but not required)

- Comfortable in a fast-moving business and team environment.
- Attention to detail and highly motivated.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
