The Autonomous Systems Architect is responsible for defining and governing the architecture of autonomous robotic platforms supporting industrial inspection, construction monitoring, inventory management, safety compliance, asset monitoring, and intelligent field operations.
The role provides technical leadership across autonomous navigation, perception systems, sensor fusion, robot orchestration, fleet management, edge computing, and robotics integration. The architect collaborates with business stakeholders, robotics teams, AI engineers, cloud architects, and client leadership to design scalable, secure, and reliable autonomous solutions for enterprise and industrial environments.
The position plays a critical role in establishing autonomous systems strategy, defining technical roadmaps, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring successful delivery of next-generation robotic solutions
Responsibilities
Define end-to-end architecture for autonomous robotic systems and intelligent mobility platforms.
Lead architecture design for robotic dog, AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot), and autonomous inspection solutions.
Define navigation, localization, mapping, and obstacle avoidance frameworks.
Design sensor fusion architectures integrating LiDAR, Cameras, IMU, GPS, Radar, and other industrial sensors.
Establish perception and decision-making architectures supporting autonomous operations.
Define fleet management architecture for multi-robot coordination, monitoring, and mission execution.
Drive robotics middleware design using ROS/ROS2 and distributed robotics frameworks.
Establish simulation and validation strategies using digital twins, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, and related technologies.
Collaborate with AI and Computer Vision teams to integrate perception intelligence into robotic platforms.
Define communication architectures between robots, edge devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
Lead technical reviews, architecture assessments, and design governance activities.
Evaluate emerging robotics technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Define safety, reliability, cybersecurity, redundancy, and operational compliance standards.
Support solution planning, effort estimation, technical proposals, and client discussions.
Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across autonomous systems programs.
Establish reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and accelerators for robotics solutions.
Technical requirements

Drives autonomous systems innovation and technology leadership.
Enhances operational efficiency through intelligent robotics solutions.
Improves safety and reliability of autonomous operations.
Establishes enterprise architecture standards for robotics platforms.
Supports successful integration of robotics, AI, cloud, and edge technologies.
Influences technology strategy and solution direction.
Ensures engineering excellence and architecture governance.
Supports successful client delivery and stakeholder engagement.
