• About the Role
• Circuit is looking for Autonomous Vehicle Operators to join our autonomous shuttle service in downtown Boca Raton. The service is part of the City of Boca Raton’s transit program and is operated in partnership with Guident.

As an operator, you’ll make sure every ride is safe and smooth while giving passengers a great experience. You’ll keep an eye on the vehicle and the road, step in when needed, and help riders feel comfortable with this new technology.

Autonomous vehicles are moving from testing to everyday service, and the industry is expected to grow quickly over the next several years. This role is your entry point, with hands-on experience that opens doors across the field.

What You’ll Do

Passenger Experience

• •Welcome riders and create a friendly, comfortable experience on board
• •Answer questions and explain how the vehicle works in simple terms
• •Represent Circuit, Guident and the City of Boca Raton professionally with the public

Safety and Monitoring

• •Monitor the road, traffic and the vehicle’s performance throughout your shift
• •Respond to alerts and take manual control of the vehicle when needed
• •Follow safety procedures and stay in contact with Guident’s remote operations team

Daily Operations

• •Complete startup checks before service and a checklist at the end of each shift
• •Report any issues so the team can keep improving the service
• •Make sure the vehicle is charged, clean and ready for the next shift

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• •Valid driver’s license with 3+ years of driving experience and a clean driving record
• •Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• •Authorized to work in the United States
• •Dependable and accountable, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions without direct supervision
• •Calm under pressure, with the judgment to put safety first when conditions change
• •Comfortable using tablets and following checklists
• •Friendly, professional and comfortable working with the public
• •Interest in new technology and the future of transportation
• •Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• •Preferred: prior work experience in technology, customer service, hospitality, transportation or a similar role
• •Preferred: experience with video games, drones or simulators

Schedule

• •Part-time
• •Flexible 4-hour shifts between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including evenings and weekends

How We Hire

• •The evaluation includes a driving simulation, hands-on control scenarios and a passenger interaction exercise.
• •Top performers are added to the schedule. Other qualified candidates may join our reserve pool and are scheduled as positions become available.

Important Note

Safety Operators primarily monitor and oversee autonomous operation. This role requires comfort with technology, computer-based systems, and maintaining a clean, professional vehicle environment. Candidates who take pride in operational readiness and public-facing presentation tend to excel.
