Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

This role requires strong technical proficiency across Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and governance services, as well as the ability to partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure a resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud platform. The Azure Engineer plays a critical role in enabling cloud adoption, supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives, and maintaining the overall health and stability of the organization's Azure ecosystem.

Ensure the health and stability of cloud services through proactive monitoring, Terraform-based infrastructure management, Azure platform administration, and the successful delivery of cloud infrastructure solutions that enable business and application teams to operate securely and efficiently.

Provide essential operational support for Azure-hosted services, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of key business platforms. With dedicated ownership of these responsibilities, operational incidents would experience increased resolution times, elevated service risk, and a greater likelihood of business disruption.

Responsible for driving the identification, prioritization, and remediation of security findings across the Azure environment, directly reducing organizational risk and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Enables critical project delivery, supports enterprise initiatives, and ensures Azure services remain secure, optimized, and aligned with business objectives.

Technical requirements

5+ years Azure cloud experience

Experience in Azure technologies including but not limited to backup and restore, ASR, Network, NSG, troubleshooting and operational logging

Experience in azure network design including NSG, Gateway, Firewalls, Subnets, Vnets. Knowledge of azure security constructs

Demonstrated experience supporting production Azure deployments

Demonstrated experience with Azure coding technologies – CLI, Powershell, ARM

Experience with Terraform deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab

Experience working with teams to deliver complete azure solutions (security, operations, engineering, application team)

Azure Administrator Certified

Additional responsibilities

Deep knowledge and experience in software support or development.

Banking or financial services experience.

Azure Architect Certified
