We are seeking a skilled Rubrik Backup Administrator with 4-8 years of experience in enterprise backup and recovery solutions. The candidate will be responsible for managing Rubrik backup infrastructure, ensuring data protection, performing backup and restore operations, monitoring backup health, and supporting disaster recovery activities across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) and Rubrik CDM environments.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup jobs for physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.
Perform restore and recovery operations for files, databases, virtual machines, and applications.
Create and manage SLA domains, retention policies, replication, and archival configurations.
Perform routine health checks and ensure backup success rates meet operational SLAs.
Manage Rubrik cluster upgrades, agent installations, and platform maintenance.
Support Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and recovery validation exercises.
Troubleshoot backup failures and perform root cause analysis.
Configure backups for VMware, Windows, Linux, SQL Server, Oracle, M365, and cloud workloads.
Work closely with infrastructure, storage, database, and application teams to resolve backup-related issues.
Generate backup reports, capacity utilization reports, and compliance documentation.
Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes.
Required Skills
4-8 years of experience in Backup & Recovery Administration.
Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC).
Experience in backup, restore, replication, and archival operations.
Good knowledge of VMware, Windows, and Linux environments.
Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and application backups.
Understanding of DR concepts, RPO/RTO, and recovery testing.
Knowledge of backup migration activities and storage concepts.
Experience in troubleshooting backup failures and performance issues.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
Responsibilities
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure/AWS cloud backup solutions.
Knowledge of Cohesity, Commvault, TSM, NetWorker, or Veeam.
Exposure to automation and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
Experience in backup compliance, audit, and security practices.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Certifications (Preferred)
Rubrik Certified Professional (RCP)
Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
ITIL Foundation
Education
Bachelor of Engineering
