As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:

• •Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service
• •As the first point of contact you will work with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
• •Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
• •Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
• •Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
• •Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
• •Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key

The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we’re about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.
