At Food & Thought 2 , we're more than a restaurant — we're a vibrant destination where organic living meets exceptional service. As a Barback , you’ll play a vital role in keeping our bar running smoothly by supporting bartenders, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

• •Support bartenders by restocking beverages, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools as needed
• •Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, floors, and equipment
• •Remove trash and recyclables, and ensure proper disposal throughout the shift
• •Refill ice bins and maintain adequate stock of bar supplies during service
• •Assist in receiving, organizing, and rotating inventory
• •Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as required by Florida health regulations
• •Communicate effectively with team members in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• •Stand, walk, lift, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift (may require lifting up to 50 lbs)
• •Perform all duties safely and in compliance with company policies and local labor laws

Qualifications:

• •Must be 18 years or older.
• •Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.
• •Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).
• •Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• •Reliable transportation is a must.

Physical Requirements:

• •Be able to stand and walk for long periods during your shift.
• •Lift and carry items like trays, food, and drinks (up to 50 lbs).
• •Move quickly and safely around the restaurant.
• •Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching throughout the shift
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to hot or cold conditions
• •Manual dexterity to handle glassware, bottles, and bar tools safely and efficiently
• •Comfortable working around loud noise, bright lights, and cleaning agents
• •Ability to climb a step stool or ladder when needed
• •Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively and ensure safety in a busy bar setting
