About Cafe Kira

Café KIRA is positioned as a more casual, everyday version of KIRA—combining elevated café dining, pastries, drinks and evening dining in a sophisticated Jumeirah neighborhood setting.

Role Overview

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and café products while delivering warm, efficient, and consistent customer service. The role ensures that all drinks meet Café Kira’s quality, presentation, and service standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• •Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, specialty beverages, teas, and other café drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• •Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• •Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
• •Take customer orders accurately and process cash, card, and other payments when required.
• •Maintain consistent beverage quality, taste, temperature, and presentation.
• •Recommend menu items and assist customers with beverage selections based on their preferences.
• •Prepare and replenish coffee, milk, syrups, garnishes, and other ingredients as required.
• •Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, equipment, and workstations.
• •Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of shortages or replenishment requirements.
• •Follow proper opening, closing, cleaning, and equipment-maintenance procedures.
• •Handle customer requests, feedback, and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• •Support the wider café team during busy periods and assist with other operational duties as required.
• •Adhere to Café Kira’s policies, procedures, grooming standards, and service expectations.

Requirements

• •Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
• •Good knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-making techniques.
• •Strong customer service and communication skills.
• •Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• •Good attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality.
• •Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• •Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• •Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong team spirit.
