Summary
This position is located at .Fort Bliss Centennial Banquet and Conference Center. Duties
- Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing bartender work. Provides leadership, guidance and training to subordinate bartenders. Work is performed without close supervision. Responsible for overall operation of the bar.
- Implements industry best practices and develops a standardized training program for subordinate bartenders. Follows and teaches standard procedures of full service bars, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Recommends to management changes to bar procedures, drink lists, and liquor selections. Communicates well with outside vendors and distributors. Ensures bar areas are clean and tidy, and implements opening and closing procedures.
- Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor. Ensures accurate count of all beverages and ensures items are utilized properly without waste.
- Recognizes intoxicated and unruly patrons and takes necessary remedial action. Uses tack and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Candidates must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate bills and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is required. 5. Must have the ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. Work experience as a full service bartender. NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.
