POSITION SUMMARY :

Sugarbush is seeking bartenders to join our talented food and beverage team. Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent guest service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol service regulations. Delivering a welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment of the mountain air. This position is part-time seasonal with an hourly rate between $7.50-$12 plus tips. Compensation depends on experience and venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• •Serve the guest in a friendly and prompt manner, with a pleasant and helpful attitude.
• •Assist host and servers while they service the guests.
• •Daily set-up, stocking, tear-down, and over all cleanliness and sanitization of bar and/or restaurant.
• •Make important decisions concerning the proper and safe sale of alcohol.
• •Must be knowledgeable about Sugarbush and surrounding area in order to answer guest questions and direct accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• •Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• •1 year prior bartending experience required.
• •Must hold current Vermont Department of Liquor certification.
• •Must possess a passion and a well-rounded working knowledge of food, wine, and beverages.
• •Proven ability to respond quickly and positively to changing conditions.
• •Work well as part of a team.
• •Must be able to lift and move a keg
• •Able to move heavy product on snowy and uneven surfaces
• •Able to self-manage
• •Inventory and ordering experience a plus
• •Experienced ski or snowboarding skills needed for one of the positions
