The Club at Mediterra, an extraordinary private club located in Naples, Florida is seeking Host/ Hostess (Full Time/ Part Time Seasonal) to join our team. The ideal candidates must be passionate about hospitality, service and thoroughly enjoy creating memorable experiences.

Job Summary:

The Host/Hostess greets members upon arrival, monitors the Waiting List, enters members arrival using a computer system, escorts members to their table and bid them farewell as they leave. Host/Hostess presents a positive first impression of the Club’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards.

A Host/Hostess must be able to carry natural conversation with members without sounding scripted or intrusive. As a member of an energetic team, the Host/Hostess will also need to answer the phones and fill To-go orders.

Job Tasks / Primary Duties: Hostess duties include but are not limited to:

Greet members warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; introduce their server

Use visual cues to seat members in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference

Assisting members with reservations, requests, and communicating messages to the Leadership team

Answer incoming calls to the restaurant utilizing proper phone etiquette

Taking To-go orders by having full menu knowledge

Relaying any special dietary restrictions and special requests

Performing opening and closing duties as assigned by leadership

Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages

Working in collaboration with other teammates to deliver members/guests expectations

Attending pre-meal meetings as requested by leadership

Qualifications:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Must be able to lift and/or carry 20 pounds

Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Excellent customer service skills

Passion for providing extraordinary service

Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone

Friendly, open disposition and professional appearance

Attention to detail

Schedule:

This position will primarily work no more than 35-40 hours per week for full-time host/hostess, and 10-25 hours per week for part-time. However, based on required service levels, the hours are subject to change.
