Grand Peaks Behavioral Health is growing, and we’re looking for an LPN or RN to join our team in a part-time position.

You’ll work closely with our behavioral health providers and therapists, get to know your patients over time, and play an important part in their ongoing care. Your day may include patient assessments, medication administration and education, behavioral health screenings, labs, care coordination, and supporting patients when they need additional help.

We’re looking for a nurse who is comfortable working in a behavioral health setting, enjoys variety in their day, and values communication and collaboration.

Part-Time | 3 x 10 hour shifts | 7:30 AM–5:30 PM | No Weekends | Pay: DOE

Scheduled shifts at both St. Anthony & Rexburg clinic locations. Shifts will be scheduled at one location per day

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient intake and nursing assessments, including health histories, vital signs, and behavioral health screenings.
  • Work alongside behavioral health providers and therapists to support patient care and treatment plans.
  • Administer and monitor medications, injections, and other treatments within your scope of practice.
  • Educate patients about medications, treatment plans, mental health conditions, and wellness.
  • Administer and score behavioral health screening tools such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, MDQ, AIMS, COWS, and others as needed.
  • Perform and assist with clinical services, including blood draws, laboratory testing, EKGs, and other procedures.
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, testing, prior authorizations, pharmacy needs, and other aspects of patient care.
  • Monitor patients and assist with crisis management and de-escalation when needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation, medication records, and required REMS information.
  • Complete electronic health record tasks, including telephone encounters, labs, messages, documents, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Communicate with patients, families, pharmacies, outside providers, and members of the behavioral health team.
  • Prepare for upcoming patient visits and provider huddles and team meetings, including new patient intakes and necessary documentation.
  • Assist with the everyday needs of the clinic, including patient calls, scheduling, paperwork, maintaining clinical supplies and equipment, and other clinical or administrative tasks.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, clinic policies, and applicable compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with providers, therapists, and other team members.

  • Comfort working with patients who may be experiencing behavioral health needs or crises.
  • Knowledge of medications, clinical procedures, and patient safety.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use an electronic health record.
  • Previous behavioral health experience is preferred, but we are open to nurses with strong clinical experience who are interested in behavioral health.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

To apply, please submit your resume along with professional references. We look forward to reviewing your application.
