Bending Machine Operator

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• •Ability to setup and run CNC rotary tube bending machines such as Soco, Eagle or Addison with limited supervision.
• •Set-up and operate CNC rotary draw bending machine while conforming to manufacturing tolerances
• •Set-up and switch tooling of CNC rotary draw bending machine (Bend Di, Clamp Di, Wiper Di, Pressure Di, Mandrel, Collette, Stop Blocks)
• •Program new post bends into CNC bending machine
• •Ensure all tube assemblies meet strict quality and compliance standards
• •Checking drawings to work orders to ensure correct quantity of posts are bent and put out for job
• •Can work effectively with cross-functional departments as need
• •Conduct quality inspections using appropriate quality measurement tools (calipers, taps, angles)
• •Maintenance of tooling and equipment

Requirements

• •Ability to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
• •High School Diploma or equivalent
• •Experience tube bending parts
• •Strong understanding of basic math including decimals, fractions and metric system
• •Proficient in English to communicate with fellow employees and follow work instructions
• •Ability to use the required hand tools, power tools, and cutting machines in the assembly process
• •Can effectively use measuring instruments such as a tape measure
• •Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy
• •Ability to work in high pressure situations under deadlines

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• •Experience working with Stainless Steel Tubes (thin-walled and thick-walled tubing)
• •Well versed in manufacturing of complex tube assemblies
• •Experience with 3D tube bends
• •Certified Production Technician (NCMIT graduate) preferred
