Are you passionate about employee experience and benefits administration? As a Benefits Coordinator at Ledcor, you will be the front-line resource for employees navigating their benefits, leave, and service award programs — responding to inquiries, processing remittances, and ensuring accurate records across our HR systems. You will play a meaningful role in keeping our benefits programs running smoothly for employees across Canada.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Benefits, you will bring strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of benefits administration, and comfort with HRIS platforms such as Workday and JDE. You thrive in a detail-oriented environment, take pride in accuracy, and are committed to delivering a positive and responsive experience for every employee you support.

Come and join the True Blue team and build your career with one of Canada's most established construction companies.

Essential Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to employee, HR, and manager inquiries related to benefits, absence programs, and service awards — escalating complex matters to the Team Lead as needed and identifying trends to support proactive improvements

Administer benefits remittances, ensuring deductions are accurately reflected and submitted to insurance providers on time

Perform Workday Benefits Partner functions including reviewing and approving benefit elections, managing benefit events, and maintaining accurate beneficiary records

Administer and track various types of employee leaves (sick, personal, maternity, parental), maintaining up-to-date records in Workday and coordinating benefit continuation payments for employees on leave

Manage the monthly Service and Loyalty Award program, communicating with HR and employees regarding awards and supporting any related inquiries

Complete benefit GL reconciliations, collaborating with Payroll and HRIS to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy

Support annual activities including year-end, open enrollment, annual election processes, and various reporting

Participate in Workday and JDE system testing and validation for new benefit groups or plan changes, and contribute to the development and maintenance of HR knowledge base guides

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of related experience in benefits administration, HR coordination, or a similar role; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

College diploma or technical certification in Human Resources or Business Administration is required; working towards a CEBS designation is considered an asset

Solid understanding of employee benefits programs, remittance processes, leave administration, and applicable Canadian legislation

Hands-on experience with HRIS and ERP systems; familiarity with Workday and JDE is a strong advantage

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader MS Office suite, with comfort navigating and reconciling data across multiple systems

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to supporting employees through benefits-related questions and leave processes

Collaborative team player who builds effective relationships across HR, Payroll, Accounting, and Business Employee Services to support seamless program delivery

Work Environment:

Hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and in the office.
