SUMMARY

A Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities, and collecting trash to ensure the building occupants have a clean space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

A Custodian’s main responsibility is to clean a workspace. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as:

• •Emptying trash cans
• •Dusting all surfaces
• •Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed
• •Washing windows
• •Maintaining a thorough inventory
• •Must accurately complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• •Must follow directives from supervisor/manager.
• •Proactively seek additional work and provide status updates to supervisor.
• •Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to multitask efficiently and effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• •Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• •Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.

Valid Texas Driver's License
