Aufgaben und Tätigkeiten kompakt

Berufskraftfahrer/innen im Güterverkehr transportieren Güter unterschiedlichster Art, z.B. Industrieprodukte, Konsumgüter, Baustoffe, Holz, Kraftstoffe oder Heizöl, hauptsächlich mit dem Lkw. Im Personenverkehr sind sie beispielsweise als Busfahrer/innen im Linien- oder Reiseverkehr tätig. Sie verbringen viel Zeit hinter dem Steuer und kennen die Straßenverkehrsregeln im In- und Ausland. Vor Fahrtantritt führen sie eine Übernahme- und Abfahrtskontrolle am Fahrzeug durch. Dabei überprüfen sie z.B. die Räder, den Motor und die Funktionsfähigkeit der Bremsanlagen. Anschließend nehmen sie das Transportgut oder das Gepäck der Fahrgäste an. Sie sorgen dafür, dass das Gewicht der Ladung gleichmäßig verteilt ist und kontrollieren die mitzuführenden Papiere und die je nach Fracht evtl. erforderliche Beschilderung des Fahrzeugs.
