Position Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR, you will be a key member of the People & Culture team, providing strategic Human Resources and Industrial Relations (HR/IR) consultation and operational support to leaders across key Corporate groups.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with corporate leadership teams to ensure the alignment and success of their operational and people strategies. You will serve as a trusted advisor, proactively addressing key business challenges, guiding organizational change, managing labour relations, and partnering with internal Centres of Expertise to drive exceptional employee experiences and foster an inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for corporate client groups, providing creative and strategic advice to leaders on a full range of complex HR and labor relations matters.
  • Support leaders in workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensure productive union-management relations by maintaining positive working relationships with union representatives and managing complex industrial relations matters to resolution in a unionized environment.
  • Support and coach leaders through performance management, talent development, employee engagement initiatives, and complex workplace situations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Centres of Expertise (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Equity & Inclusion) to deliver tailored, high-quality HR solutions aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Guide leaders on corporate policy application, employment legislation, and drive strategic initiatives that align with the evolving reality of a modern digital workforce.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably supporting corporate functions within a complex organization.
  • Imperative bilingualism in both English and French, with advanced written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
  • Direct experience in a unionized work environment is strongly preferred.
  • Professional HR designation (CHRP, CHRL) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, exercise influence, demonstrate sound judgment and discretion, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
