Spanish Immersion Lead Young Toddler Guide (Bilingual English/Spanish)

$39,000–$45,000 per year | Full-time

¿Hablas español? ¡Te estamos buscando!

Help toddlers discover who they are and what they can do, in two languages.

A young toddler pulls herself up to the shelf, reaches for the basket she wants, and proudly says “¡Mío!” Moments like this happen every day in a Guidepost Spanish immersion classroom. As our Lead Young Toddler Guide, you create the classroom where they happen.

At Guidepost Montessori, our Lead Young Toddler Guides create calm, purposeful classrooms where curiosity, independence, and confidence grow every day. In our Spanish immersion program, children also absorb a second language the same way they learned their first: through warm, everyday conversation with a trusted adult.

If you’re a fluent Spanish speaker who loves early childhood development and is ready to lead a classroom, this is your chance to make a lasting difference.

Your Role

As a Spanish Immersion Lead Young Toddler Guide, you’ll lead a mixed-age young toddler classroom in a Montessori setting designed for one of the most important stages of development.

Spanish is the language of your classroom. You’ll speak with children in Spanish throughout the day, in greetings, lessons, songs, mealtimes, diapering, and toilet learning. That steady daily exposure lets children absorb the language naturally, during the years when the brain is best suited to it.

Montessori guides prepare beautiful, orderly classrooms that invite exploration and support independence. Through careful observation, individualized lessons, and respectful guidance, you’ll help each child develop language, coordination, self-regulation, and confidence.

Your leadership will let toddlers explore freely, make choices, and take pride in what they can do. That builds the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

What You’ll Do

Lead the classroom primarily in Spanish, using rich, natural language throughout every routine

Bring Spanish to life through songs, rhymes, books, and cultural traditions

Observe each child closely to understand and support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development

Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom that encourages focus, independence, and exploration

Encourage toddlers to “do it themselves” (¡hazlo tú mismo!)

Give lessons in practical life skills, language development, and grace and courtesy

Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families

Talk with parents in English or Spanish to support each child’s growth, including helping families understand how immersion works

Lead classroom routines and guide your Assistant Guides to build a respectful, joyful community

The Montessori Prepared Environment

Every Guidepost young toddler classroom is fully equipped with high-quality Montessori materials and designed around beauty, order, and independence.

Our toddler classrooms include:

What We’re Looking For

Native or near-native fluency in Spanish , plus strong English for communicating with families and colleagues

Interest in completing fully sponsored Montessori certification through our Prepared Montessorian Institute, or a Montessori diploma you’ve already earned

Experience working with children ages 0–3 in a group care, daycare, childcare, or early learning setting

Belief in child-led approaches to education (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar)

Required ECE or Child Development credits

A college degree in a child-related field (preferred)
