Bindery Machine Operator 1st Shift

Mackin Educational Resources is a well-established and highly respected company with an opportunity for a Bindery Machine Operator to join our Topeka, KS Bindery team.

Responsibilities

• •Operate a variety of bindery equipment, including cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and gluing equipment, following established procedures to meet quality and production standards.
• •Monitor equipment during operation, making routine adjustments and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• •Work with team members to prepare materials and orders for production while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• •Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.

Requirements

• •Strong attention to detail.
• •Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• •Ability to accurately use measurement tools such as a ruler or tape measure.
• •Ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods without distraction.
• •Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• •Ability to bend and continuously lift 10–15 pounds .
• •Ability to stand for the entire shift and continuously use fingers, hands, and arms in controlled movements.
• •Previous bindery machine operator or manufacturing experience is a plus.

High School or GED

Hours

• •Full-time - Days (7:00am - 3:30pm), Monday through Friday
• •Weekends and Overtime as needed

Wages

$17.00 per hour
