Applications Engineer – Biopharmaceutical Solutions

ABEC is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop innovative technical solutions for global biopharmaceutical manufacturing customers. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as a key link between customers, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations teams, helping transform complex manufacturing challenges into customized solutions that drive customer success and business growth.

What You'll Do

• •Develop technical and commercial proposals for biopharma manufacturing solutions.
• •Interpret customer requirements and recommend optimal process and equipment solutions.
• •Generate budgetary and definitive cost estimates, pricing, and proposals.
• •Serve as a technical expert supporting customer meetings, presentations, and sales opportunities.
• •Collaborate with Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• •Review purchase orders and contracts for technical and commercial alignment.
• •Support product launches, sales training, and marketing initiatives.
• •Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and project performance.
• •Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• •Travel to customer sites up to 30%.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.
• •5+ years of experience in biopharma capital equipment, bioprocess engineering, applications engineering, equipment design, or product management.
• •Knowledge of bioprocess equipment such as:
• •Single-Use Systems (SUS)
• •Bioreactors and Fermenters
• •Mixing Technologies
• •Filtration Systems
• •Chromatography Equipment

• •Understanding of cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing and capital project execution.
• •Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to navigate both technical and commercial business environments.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience in Applications Engineering, Product Management, or Bioprocess Engineering.
• •ERP system experience.
• •Foreign language proficiency.
• •Experience supporting global customers and commercial opportunities.
