Legend Boats is hiring!

Are you a skilled, hands-on mechanical talent who thrives in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality? We are seeking a detail-oriented Boat & Trailer Rigging Technician to join our collaborative shop team.

In this role, you won't be stuck on a repetitive assembly line. Instead, you'll work alongside our team on individual rigging projects—focusing on one boat or trailer at a time. Your work involves assembling everything from V-hull fishing boats to pontoons according to specific factory build sheets, as well as installing requested aftermarket accessories for retail buyers. Because our boats are delivered to customers all across Canada, exceptional quality control, strict adherence to specs, and sharp attention to detail are a team priority. If you enjoy daily variety, technical problem-solving, and contributing to high-quality builds at a steady pace, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Rigging & Assembling: Rig side consoles, full-windshield boats, deck boats, pontoons, and trailers for wholesale distribution to precise specifications.

Factory Store Builds: Assemble and prepare boats for Legend Factory Stores, executing both standard package builds and retail customer add-ons.

Aftermarket Installations: Mount and wire aftermarket electronics, trolling motors, hardware, and specialized accessories according to customer order sheets.

Repairs & Adjustments: Perform boat repairs, rig adjustments, and pre-delivery inspections to ensure flawless quality control before shipping.

Warranty & Service: Identify, troubleshoot, and complete warranty work; assist with seasonal services including shrink wrapping and winterizations.

Shop Workflow Support: Collaborate with team members on hull swaps and component transfers to keep shop production moving efficiently.

Event Support: Assist with the setup, logistics, and teardown for local and regional boat shows.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with retail, service, and shop teammates to meet shared delivery targets and production goals.

Safety & Standards: Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and shop cleanliness across all tasks and shared workstations.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications:

Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.

Team-First Mindset: Strong work ethic with a proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a fast-paced shop environment.

Spec-Driven & Detail-Oriented: Ability to accurately read, follow, and execute factory build sheets, order documents, and safety guidelines.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift, bend, climb in and out of boats, and stay active on your feet throughout the day.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

Previous marine, mechanical, 12V electrical, or trailer rigging experience.

General boating knowledge or a genuine passion for the marine industry.

Who You Are:

Quality-Driven: You take pride in high-quality workmanship, knowing our boats travel to customers all across Canada.

Adaptable & Motivated: You enjoy daily variety—working on everything from V-hull fishing boats to pontoons—and thrive in a fast-paced setting without cutting corners.

Safety-Minded: You prioritize safety and cleanliness across all individual tasks and shared workstations.

Compensation & Perks

$22–$26/hour (based on experience)

Comprehensive medical, dental, life, and disability benefits after 6 months

Voluntary Retirement Savings Plan with company-matched contributions after 6 months

Two weeks of annual vacation to start, with Flex Vacation options
