Responsibilities of a Body Shop Detailer entail:

• •Responsible for maintaining shop cleanliness through disposing of trash, sweeping, etc.
• •Remove and discard damaged parts from the shop
• •Operate a forklift and drive trucks in and out of the shop
• •Wash truck exterior and vacuum interior of vehicles, upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces
• •Wash engines and engine compartments with steam-cleaning equipment
• •Visually inspect trucks after processing for defects
• •Document all relevant information on repairs
• •Manage time effectively and efficiently
• •Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

The requirements to be a Body Shop Detailer:

• •Must be at least 18 years old
• •High School Diploma or GED preferred
• •No experience required
• •Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT medical card
