We are recruiting for a Branch Sales Manager to join our thriving Frazer branch in Ipswich (IP3 8LF).

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as first-line support to the Branch Manager, helping to lead and support the team to deliver sales and customer service success.
  • Motivate and develop the team, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sales growth.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, both face-to-face and over the phone, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and services to maximise every customer interaction and identify opportunities to grow sales.
  • Understand the local market, customers and competitors to support the branch sales strategy.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive sales culture and encouraging the team to take every opportunity to grow customer relationships and sales.
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise deliveries and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
  • Make Health & Safety a priority, ensuring the team understands and follows safe working practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous sales leadership experience within a construction materials supply business, ideally with experience of utilities or civils products.
  • A proven track record of motivating teams and driving sales performance.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the local customer and market landscape.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, with the confidence to identify opportunities and take action.
  • The ability to lead by example, support your team and contribute positively to the wider branch operation.
  • Customer-focused, positive and reliable team player who takes pride in their work, builds strong customer relationships and demonstrates honesty, integrity and enthusiasm for the merchant industry.
