Description
La La Land is looking for a creative, versatile visual storyteller to help shape the visual identity of one of the fastest-growing café brands in the country. Working within our small marketing team, you will plan, shoot and edit the photography and short-form video that brings our drinks, cafés, people and mission to life across social, digital, print, PR, e-commerce and in-café channels. You will own production from brief through final delivery, moving easily between polished campaign shoots and fast, trend-driven iPhone content, and capturing new café openings, events, partnerships and Foundation programs with care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, style and shoot high-quality product, drink, lifestyle and campaign photography for digital, print, in-café, PR and e-commerce.
Shoot and edit short-form video, from polished launch spots to fast, trend-driven iPhone content for TikTok, Instagram and other social channels.
Collaborate with our small marketing team to develop ideas and creative direction, owning production from brief through final delivery.
Partner with the Senior Manager of Social & Brand Strategy on ideation and strategy, working under their creative direction, and collaborate with the Creative Production Manager on shoot logistics.
Cover new café openings end to end: pre-opening interiors, opening-day energy and same-day recap content.
Produce collaboration and partnership content with creators, talent and partner brands, meeting each partner's deliverables and timelines.
Document events, activations and Foundation programs with sensitivity and consent.
Build shot lists, mood boards and simple production plans; scout locations, source props and coordinate talent.
Retouch and color-grade photos and edit video to a consistent, on-brand look.
Deliver assets in every format needed (9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9, print) on tight turnarounds.
Organize and maintain the brand photo and video library, with clear naming, tagging and usage rights.
Manage, maintain and recommend camera, lighting and audio gear.
Stay ahead of social trends, food and beverage photography styles and platform best practices
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proven video skills: shooting and editing short-form content that performs on social.
Fluency with iPhone content creation, including shooting, lighting and editing on mobile.
Expertise in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro); CapCut or similar mobile editing tools.
Solid working knowledge of lighting, both studio strobes and natural light.
A sharp eye for color, composition, styling and detail.
Ability to work fast, stay organized and manage multiple projects at once.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required
3+ years of professional photography experience preferred, ideally in food and beverage, hospitality, retail or lifestyle brands. A strong portfolio showing product and drink photography plus lifestyle and people photography can outweigh years of experience.
Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings and weekends for openings and events.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for shoots across DFW.
Nice to Have
Food or prop styling experience. • Experience with motion graphics or After Effects.
Experience working with creators, influencers or talent on set.
Drone or gimbal operation.
A genuine love for coffee, matcha and making people smile.
