Join our Product Management and Technology Delivery team as a Business Analyst/Product Owne in Bangalore in a hybrid working model. You will partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to improve requirement quality, backlog readiness, delivery predictability, and product quality. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, product management, architecture, engineering, and quality assurance, you will help ensure that features are fully analyzed, refined, documented, and ready before development. Your work will reduce rework, requirement-driven defects, and delivery delays while enabling Product Owners to focus on product strategy, prioritization, and value realization.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead requirement elicitation workshops and translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Build a continuous pipeline of development-ready work and facilitate backlog refinement aligned with the Definition of Ready.
  • Analyze business processes and create process flows, use cases, business rules, impact assessments, and traceability records.
  • Identify dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and risks, and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support release planning, test-scenario definition, business validation, defect triage, and root-cause analysis.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations that improve requirement quality, product quality, stakeholder alignment, and release predictability.
  • Prepare key deliverables, including requirement documents, dependency logs, traceability matrices, release-readiness reports, and stakeholder communication plans.
  • Track outcomes such as backlog readiness, requirement-related defects, clarification requests, rework, predictability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Live Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of business analysis experience in Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirement documentation.
  • Experience with enterprise software delivery, digital product development, release management, or quality management.
  • Ability to use Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Visio, Lucidchart, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience with products that support cybersecurity services.
  • PMI-PBA or an Agile certification.
  • Knowledge on probabilistic forecasting would be an added advantage
