Product Owner / Senior Business Analyst

Business Analyst/Product Owner with proven expertise in Treasury and Capital Markets domains, with experience supporting core treasury lifecycle functions. The candidate should demonstrate exposure across critical treasury value streams, including cash and liquidity management, funding and ALM, balance sheet, market risk, trading, and regulatory reporting frameworks.

The candidate should possess strong expertise in treasury and liquidity reporting analysis, with the ability to interpret regulatory guidelines (e.g., ALM / risk / liquidity) and translate them into robust reporting frameworks, data mappings, and calculation methodologies aligned to treasury systems and regulatory compliance requirements

Scope of Work

The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong expertise in treasury requirements analysis, regulatory interpretation, and structured reporting design, with the ability to translate business needs into robust and scalable reporting frameworks. The candidate is expected to perform the following functions:

Responsibilities

Analysis and Requirement Definition

Analyse requirements and clarify functional expectations with stakeholders.

Confirm scope, calculation logic, data inputs, output structure, and reporting assumptions.

Document business requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory and policy objectives.

Logic Review and Documentation:

Review and assess existing methodologies and calculation approaches.

Identify transformation rules, aggregation logic, and classification frameworks.

Document functional logic in a clear and structured manner.

Data Analysis and Mapping:

Identify and validate relevant source systems and data elements supporting report construction.

Confirm key fields, data relationships, and transformation requirements

Ensure traceability from source data to final report output.

Testing and Reconciliation:

Support testing cycles and perform reconciliation between legacy and new reporting outputs.

Investigate and explain variances at appropriate levels of detail.

Support stakeholder validation and sign-off processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage with multiple IT stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

Communicate logic, findings, and validation results clearly and effectively.

Support workshops, discussions, and review sessions as required

 Industry Experience(must-have)

The candidate should possess 6–12 years of experience within investment banking or capital markets organizations, with a strong focus on treasury domain functions.

Proven track record of working across end-to-end treasury lifecycle, including cash & liquidity management, funding, trading, and regulatory reporting

Hands-on experience in capital markets products, trade lifecycle, and treasury systems, enabling effective engagement with business and technology stakeholders

Technical requirements

 Analytical Experience (must-have)

Excellent analytical skills; should be able to engage with change/business/OPS senior stakeholders from client’s org

Excellent documentation and presentation skills; should be able to create business process mapping document; functional solution documents and own the acceptance/signoff process from E2E.

Excellent team player; collaborate with other members in product analysis and management teams

Excellent communication skills; should have excellent hearing, speaking and articulation skills.

Understand the overall landscape of developing a next-generation post-trade processing and shared services.

Work with various groups (client, up streams, down streams, ontology, architecture...etc) to document the current state, perform gap analysis, and develop future state strategy using tools like JIRA.

Support end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including integration, data conversion, UAT, Go-Live, and production support.

Drive stakeholder coordination for impact assessment, defect resolution, and post-Go-Live stabilization.

 Product Mindset (added advantage)

Additional 2–5 years of relevant experience working on leading Treasury / Capital Markets platforms and solutions, including exposure to industry-standard systems and reporting frameworks.

Hands-on experience across core treasury functions such as liquidity management, risk, reporting, and financial data processing.

Ability to contribute to defining developing & discussing the product roadmap with varied vested-interest stakeholders

 Tooling (must-have)

o Hands on experience on leading toolkit for a PO and Sr Business analysts like: -

 Atlassian Confluence, JIRA

 MS Copilot for Agentic AI (and likes), MS Office

 MS SQL (Basic), Power BI (Nice-to-have)

 KEY KPI’s-

1. Client-services engagements

2. Contribute in domain practice activities e.g. creating knowledge materials, participating in RFP discussions, creating POVs, case studies etc.

3. Identified as a deep domain evangelist
