About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Business Communications Specialist ! This position can be located in Midland, MI or Collegeville, PA .
Dow's Business Communications team is a strategic marketing communications partner that helps drive business growth through customer-focused storytelling, brand engagement, and integrated marketing programs. As a Business Communications Specialist, you will support the development and execution of communications strategies that position and promote Dow brands, products, solutions, and capabilities with customers and key stakeholders.
In this role, you will create and deliver compelling content and campaigns that advance business priorities, strengthen customer relationships, and support growth objectives. You will execute integrated marketing communications programs across a range of channels, including digital and social media, SEO/SEM, paid and performance marketing, trade media, public relations, content marketing, video, direct communications, sales enablement, trade shows, and events.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of B2B marketing, customer journeys, and data-driven communications. You will translate business objectives into impactful marketing programs that build awareness, generate demand, increase engagement, and support growth. As a growth-focused communicator, you will leverage emerging marketing technologies, AI-enabled tools, analytics, and industry best practices to optimize performance and drive business results.
You will collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, and functional teams, balancing strategic thinking with strong execution while building productive relationships across a global organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing communications plans aligned with business objectives and audience needs.
- Develop and deliver engaging content, including messaging, storytelling, videos, and creative assets.
- Execute external marketing communications programs across media, social, digital, search, paid, and traditional channels.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance content creation, campaign performance, and audience engagement.
- Lead project management activities, including planning, stakeholder coordination, reviews, approvals, and on-time delivery.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and agency partners to ensure effective execution.
- Support brand management initiatives, including product branding, trademark management, thought leadership, reputation, and co-branding efforts.
- Measure and report on communications effectiveness, using insights and analytics to improve future programs.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, business communications, and/or related communications disciplines.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a PR agency and/or multinational environment, preferably in a B-to-B industry.
Degree in Communications related discipline.
5+ years of relevant working experience.
Skills
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions and businesses, along with the skills to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Content Management: A clear understanding of digital communications and content marketing, along with excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Excellent interpersonal, networking, and problem-solving skills.
