Business Consultant

What success looks like in this role:

The Business Consultant builds trusted relationships with clients, understands their business priorities and technology goals, and identifies where consulting and technology services can create measurable value. The role turns credible business needs into well-qualified opportunities, provides clear context for specialist teams and supports positive client outcomes and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• •Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
• •Understand clients’ strategies, operational challenges, technology priorities and desired outcomes
• •Identify, qualify and progress consulting and technology-service opportunities
• •Lead early business discovery, clarifying the problem, value, stakeholders, timing and constraints
• •Work with technical, commercial and delivery specialists, providing client context and maintaining relationship continuity
• •Manage a credible opportunity pipeline, maintain clear next steps and contribute client and market insight to the wider team

Skills and Qualifications

• •Experience in business consulting, professional services, business development, account management or technology delivery, typically gained over three to five years
• •Strong client discovery, opportunity qualification and relationship-management skills
• •Ability to understand business strategy, operating models, technology priorities and value drivers
• •Commercial awareness, sound judgement and a track record of progressing viable opportunities
• •Confident facilitation, questioning, writing and communication with senior stakeholders
• •Broad awareness of modern workplace technology, cloud services, cybersecurity, software services, managed services and infrastructure
• •A relevant degree or professional qualification, or equivalent practical experience
