Business Unit

Corporate Development Group (CDG) as the platform for the company's new business incubation and new business exploration, CDG is responsible for promoting development and innovation for important areas such as financial technology and advertising, as well as marketing services, including payment and financial applications. As a professional support platform, CDG also supports the company and various business groups in strategic planning, investments and mergers, investor relations and corporate global communications, marketing and public relations, and more.

What the Role Entails

Core Objectives: To spearhead the acquisition of new performance advertising clients in the APAC markets outside mainland China, and to build and lead the team that delivers it. The role involves managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, owning regional revenue, building a robust client pipeline, and leading the development of overseas sales systems and industry-specific capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the APAC (ex-mainland China) growth strategy. Define the go-to-market plan and build a robust client pipeline from 0 to 1 across Mobile Games, Apps, and other performance advertisers

2. Build and manage a multi-channel sourcing engine. Proactively identify and engage potential advertisers through ecosystem partnerships, industry summits, online research, and partner referrals — and systematize these channels so they scale beyond personal networks.

3. Win and own executive relationships. Lead high-quality client meetings (online/offline), act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and clearly communicate the value proposition of Tencent AMS overseas solutions.

4. Lead the full sales cycle and negotiation. Own the creation and delivery of sales pitches, manage the negotiation process, and drive deals through contract signing and client onboarding.

5. Help build the overseas sales system and playbook. Establish disciplined CRM management, industry-specific playbooks, and repeatable processes — turning individual wins into a scalable, documented operating model.

6. Lead cross-functional influence. Partner with Operations, Product, and Engineering to ensure client requirements are accurately understood and implemented; Use market feedback to influence product roadmap and go-to-market priorities.

7. Drive internal ecosystem synergy. Establish collaborative relationships with other international-expansion business units to share resources and create win-win outcomes.

Who We Look For

1. Experience — 5+ years in overseas performance advertising sales or business development. Substantial ownership of APAC markets outside mainland China — regional quota-carrying sales, not China-outbound campaign operations and not pure account management.

2. Entrepreneurship — Thrives in a 0→1 environment: Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a pace set by the business rather than by established process. Brings strong intrinsic motivation and genuine ownership — acts before being asked, builds the region and the team, and takes responsibility for the outcome, with a habit of following things through.

3. Leadership — Experience building and/or leading a BD/sales team, or owning a business line/region with revenue responsibility; demonstrated ability to coach and grow people.

4. Skills — exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong self-drive and goal orientation; comfortable operating autonomously in uncertain, early-stage environments.

5. Knowledge — Deep understanding of performance advertising, programmatic buying, and mobile attribution.

6. Language — Fluent English as the working language across a multi-market, multi-time-zone region; Willing to travel frequently across the region.
